1. Purpose
BayLedger is a shared multi-tenant business service. One organization’s use must not compromise another organization, the underlying infrastructure, email reputation, or the lawful rights of customers and staff.
2. Permitted business use
Use BayLedger for legitimate automotive shop-management activities supported by the current product: staff access, customer and vehicle records, catalog entries, quotes, invoices, manually recorded payments, and related customer communications. Users must have authority to act for the selected organization and to use the information they enter.
3. Prohibited conduct
Do not use BayLedger to:
- break the law, facilitate fraud, deceive recipients, or infringe privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights;
- access, probe, enumerate, modify, or infer another organization’s records or test security without prior written authorization;
- send spam, harassment, malware, misleading documents, or communications to people who should not receive them;
- upload executable, scriptable, corrupted, disguised, or malicious files, including SVG or double-extension logo files;
- store complete payment-card numbers, card security codes, passwords, authentication tokens, government identity documents, health records, or unrelated highly sensitive data in notes or references;
- share individual credentials, defeat role restrictions, automate abusive traffic, scrape the service, interfere with availability, or impose unreasonable resource load;
- reverse engineer or circumvent access controls except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- misrepresent BayLedger output as professional accounting, tax, legal, or regulatory advice.
4. Email and public links
Confirm the recipient before sending a quote, invoice, receipt, invitation, or password reset. Treat public document links and invitation/reset links as confidential access credentials. Revoke or rotate a document link if it may have been disclosed. Do not repeatedly resend messages after an ambiguous delivery result.
5. Response to misuse
Suspected misuse may be investigated using limited account, activity, delivery, and operational records. Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to contain an immediate security threat, unlawful use, serious abuse, or material risk to another organization or the service. BayLedger will provide notice when reasonably practical and lawful, and users may contact BayLedger to ask for a restriction to be reviewed.
6. Report a concern
Report suspected abuse to documents@bayledger.ca. Include a safe description and relevant time or request ID. Do not email passwords, secure tokens, complete customer files, or database backups.
